An internal bathroom with no window, rebuilt from scratch: a walk-in shower with a glass screen, glossy burgundy tiling to the ceiling, brass fittings and forced mechanical ventilation, which is what makes a bathroom without an external wall liveable.

- 02The bath removed and replaced with a walk-in shower level with the floor
- 03Glossy burgundy tiling from floor to ceiling, with pale grout to draw the tile pattern
- 04A fixed glass screen, with no framing to cut the room in two
- 05Brass shower column and fittings, with everything that could be recessed built in
- 06Recessed ceiling lighting aimed at the shower area
- 07Waterproofing under the tray and up the first centimetres of wall before tiling
